Potted Tulips - Daria Myagkikh

Hi everybody!

So it is my turn to show you my project. This time I chose to do something different.
I decided to use watercolors!

For this tag I took very sweet stamp - Potted Tulips. It was great fun to practice in coloring and shading. Also to bring more interest I added Glossy Accents on top of the pot and black curved detail.

Baby Bibs - Cathy

I love coloring Tammy's elaborate drawings because the cards kind of create themselves!  Today, I decided to choose some of her clean images to work on my CAS style.  This trio of bibs, Baby Bib Heart, Baby Bib Duck, and Baby Bib Smile, is perfect for a baby congratulations card.
Can't you picture a card using these sweet bibs with patterned paper in the background, too?

Hope you are playing along with January's Two or More Layers Challenge.
The first Friday of February is just a few days away -
which means more DT inspiration, Guest Designers and a new challenge!
Until then - Happy Creating!
Cathy

PUFFY FLOWER FAIRY - JEN

This little scrap of cuteness is called Puffy Flower Fairy

Doesn't she remind you of a bright ray of sunshine?  Sunshine is what we're getting a lot of here in sunny South Africa, where we're in the middle of summer, and oh boy, is it hot and humid.  We're having blue skies every day, but are hoping for a little (actually LOTS) of rain.

I fussy cut the image after colouring her with Copic Markers, and then popped her onto a multifold card with a precoloured background.  I sewed on some flower sequins too. The sentiment is a peel off, originally gold, but recoloured blue with a Copic Marker (did you now you could do that?).

If you'd like to see more detailed photographs of my card, please visit my blog here.

Have a great day!
Jen

Fairy Flowers - Guest Designer ~ Emma

What a softly gorgeous final card from guest designer, Emma!  The background paper and the die cut frame are perfect accents for the Fairy Flowers image.  The way Emma framed her photo gives us clues about how she created this card.  Love the sponged background and her beautiful coloring.

Hope you'll stop by Emma's blog and leave her some love for her work as a guest designer.
This was her first time as a DT member and she was fabulous!

Tender Thoughts - Jen Leeflang

Hi there to all our dedicated A Day for Daisies followers and fans  It's my turn today to showcase another of the beautiful images in the store.  Tammy has a precious talent of portraying the beauty and innocence of children, and this one, called "Tender Thoughts" is no exception.

While I was colouring the image using Copic markers, all I could think of was the children's prayer, that I have used as the sentiment.

My embellishments are a cream ribbon and bow, and some swirls that I made by sewing on some small pearl beads, each one individually with 'invisible' thread.

If you'd like to see some more (close-up) photographs, please visit my blog.

Thanks for visiting the A Day for Daisies blog today.

Keep Creating!

Aloha Flowers : Jen Leeflang

Good day, and welcome to all our lovely A Day for Daisies followers.  The card I have to share with you today features the beautiful Aloha Flowers images available in the store:

These flowers are so pretty, and just perfect for me to indulge my other passion, that of beading.  I have sewn 2mm lilac seed beads directly onto the cardstock.  My flowers are coloured using Copic markers, and I used a recoloured peel off sentiment.

If you'D like to see more detailed photographs of my card, please visit my blog.

Owl Nephew - Guest Designer ~ Emma

Don't you just love the way January's guest designer, Emma, carried the star theme throughout her Owl Nephew card?  The kraft background ties back so nicely to the way she colored the owl - and that night sky!!! Love the dusky feel of it.  Be sure to stop by her blog and leave her some love.

Emma will be back with another card on January 17th.
