Two Girls and Mom - Cathy Preissing

This image, Two Girls and Mom, is such a beauty.  I fell in love with her right away.  It makes me think of my own daughter with her own two little girls.  I loved coloring the hair of the mother!
The first Friday in September is just days away - and that means a new challenge on the ADFD Blog!  I hope you will come back and play along.
Until then, happy creating!
Cathy

Boy Kitty|Juliana Swanson

In my experience, it's all about relationships.
Just like this sweet image, Boy Kitty.  A child and his pet.

This card is also about relationships, "a thinking about you" or "thank you" kind of card.

I used Copic markers to color this boy and his cat.
I hope you can take the time to make something lovely, today... and perhaps make if for someone you love.

Happy Crafting,
Juliana

Carnation Pixie | Cindy Messer

Hello!  Cindy back with you on the blog today.  I picked this little cutie because it reminded me of my daughter's Halloween costume.  When she was really little, I dressed her as a flower fairy complete with wings and a tulle skirt.  Good times!!

I used texture paste and a stencil to create this funky background for her.  For more details visit me at In Love with PAPER.

You can find Carnation Pixie in the shop.

Thanks for visiting us at ADFD,
Cindy

Bed Head Lady by Alison Heikkila

Hello! Alison here and I am sharing my latest card, featuring Bed Head Lady. When I first saw this image, it immediately reminded me of Lucille Ball. She was gorgeous and hilarious, and I could just imagine a skit beginning with stumbling around after getting out of bed saying, "I'm up. What more do you want." I colored her with Zig Clean Color markers. For full details, you can visit my blog HERE.

You can find Bed Head Lady in the A Day for Daisies Shop.

Have an inspiring day!

Sir Carl Clown | Juliana Swanson

Sir Carl Clown is one of the sweetest images!!  I don't know who is cuter, Sir Carl or his little dog!!!

I wanted a muted color palette that was inspired by one of my daughter's blouses. Shades of Peach, Mint and grey.  I wanted to keep the colors simple since it will be used as a friendship card instead of a birthday card.

I hope you enjoy Sir Carl Clown as much as I do!

Thanks for stopping by the A Day for Daisies blog!!
I hope you take the time to enter our current challenge: Use "School" Paper

Happy Crafting,

Music for Me - Jen Leeflang

Welcome to the ADFD blog today.  My inspirational card for you today features the serenely beautiful image called, Music for Me from the store.  I love the quietness is portrays – a young girl swept away by the lovely melody.

Music For Me

I coloured the image using alcohol markers and paper pieced her dress.  The background of the card is vintage sheet music with a thought-provoking quote by Plato. The image was fussy cut and popped up on foam blocks.

Some pink roses and a pretty pink bow seemed a fitting embellishment.

Remember that we have a super friendly A Day for Daisies Community on Facebook, so come along and join us!

Boy Horse Ride - Jen Leeflang

Welcome to the ADFD blog today where I (Jen) am here to share with you my birthday card with this darling and cute image, Boy Horse Ride from the store as it reminds me of our annual family visit to the funfair when I was a child.

Boy Horse Ride

I merged the image with the red star striped background digital paper, and then matted it onto rope themed background paper.  The image was coloured using alcohol markers (a mixture of Copics, Spectrum Noir and Graph'It).  The edge of the blue rope paper is distressed, and I added twine and a metal cowboy gun charm.
